Teaching System
Materials & Other Learning Resources
The teaching system of the Dong Thap University is just the same on what we had in the Philippines. They construct their lesson plan starting from developing their objectives up to formulating and creating of the instructional materials that were needed.
Their class routine starts from 7:30 am and usually ends at 5:00 in the afternoon. But some class meetings are ending early or late for remedial or enhancement classes due to poor performance of the class.
When it comes on learning materials and teaching aids of the university, there are a lot of varieties that they offer to their students just to make sure the their student will learn and cope with the lessons.
Laboratories, libraries and even modernized teaching tools are available. Flat-screen tv's for playing Powerpoint presentations, adjustable whiteboard and and green board for board discussions/work and comfortable chairs to cater the needs and wants of the students.
Measurement of Learning
Diagnostic, Formative and Summative assessments are evident on their university in testing the learnings and knowledge of their students to prove if they really absorbed the content. Workbooks were being given to students for application of the learnings.
If the students were having troubles understanding the content of the topic, the teacher conducts remediation classes or enhancement courses to aid the problem. To conclude, the DThu, Future School and most of the universities in the Philippines has the same strategy in measuring one's capability in consuming a lesson.
