TEACHING PLAN
Dong Thap University Teaching plan is the simple version on what we had in the Philippines. There are similarities and differences on both teaching plan is just the complexity of creating a lesson plan in the Philippines are more detailed and well-structured compared in DThU. Here is an example of a teaching plan in DThU:

Semi-Detailed LP
My Lesson Plan

I've formulated my own lesson plan using the structure that was given by our supervisors that serves as a reference for us exchanged student teachers in developing lesson plans. According to our supervisor, this kind of lesson plan is suitable to young learners since the English Language were introduced at the later age. Implementing this type of teaching plan is more effective that using the complicated LP that makes the learners confused and disarray. If possible, simple like this kind of LP are highly encouraged since this can make the students learn the topic easily and swiftly.
Prepared PowerPoint Presentations

Above are the PowerPoint presentations that I've made consisting of different topics that were given by our English supervisor Ms. Thuy. As you noticed on my PPT's, I always include translation at the bottom of the English word so that the learners can fully understand the topic that I'm discussing.

TEACHING PRACTICE
Procedures of Teaching
Our supervisor gathered us in Foreign Language room to disseminate information about our upcoming lesson demos. There were four (4) total lesson demos that we need to accomplish as the SEAMEO requires in every exchange students. All of us are shocked about the announcement but deep inside of ourselves, we take this as a challenge to prove on what we are capable of as a pre-service teachers.

Fast-forward to the day of preparation of lesson plan and IM's, honestly, I do feel academic burnouts at that time since the pressure of teaching in a different audience and environment is difficult. My intrusive thoughts always pops up in me if "What if my students didn't understand my topic?" a devastating imagination it is. Overthinking is part of me and I always taught myself to be optimistic and always look at the brighter side. Unfamiliarity and alienation is what I feel at the moment but I push myself to work harder to gain something that will help me in the near future.

On my first day in conducting my lesson demo, different emotions were evident as you look at my face at that moment. Mix of nervousness, slight positivity and a feeling of having a hard to breathe. But as I walk in the class, they greeted me joyfully making my feelings at the moment subside. To make it short, I've accomplished my first teaching demo with a smile on my face along with the positive feedbacks that were given to me by Miss Thuy, our English Supervisor.

On the succeeding days of conducting my lesson demos, the nervousness were getting little by little until I don't feel anything but joy. I always start the class by greeting my students a good morning/good afternoon, then followed by giving exercises or motivational games/activities to boost the mind and body of my young learner's. After stimulating my student's body and mind, recapitulation of the topic comes after up to giving activities or assignments at the end of the discussion.

Key Takeaways
In this short period of time, I've realized and experience a lot about teaching. This one of a lifetime opportunity open my eyes and introduce me to the real world of teaching. I'm at awe when I experienced the things that I cannot fathom. Indeed, teaching is the noblest profession of all professions, the dedication, countless blood, sweat and tears are being sacrifice just to provide for the learners. First, i thought teaching is as simple as relaying of information to students and that's all but realization struck me as it was one of the hardest and complicated professions of all. The entire duration of conducting and formulating my own lesson plan and demos, I felt carrying the entire universe at my back. Different of pains rushing through my body as if it was a flowy river down the stream. To conclude, the experience that I gained in this program will never be forgotten as it marks the day of enlightenment of my life and it opens my mind to possibilities that in the world of teaching, our purpose is to act as bridge to our learners in achieving their whole potential equipping the wisdom that we relay to their precious minds.
